The Starfish... A young boy was picking starfish off a beach and tossing them back into the sea. An old man walking along the shore approached him and asked, "Why are you bothering? The beach is long and there are thousands of starfish. You can't possibly make a difference." The boy picked up another starfish and tossed it out into the waves. "It makes a difference to this one," he said.
